That means ferrying over a new jet is always an emotional moment. On June 5th 2021, I had the honour of making my 32nd such flight when pilot Lars Schmidt and I flew the CJ3+, D-CHAT, to Stuttgart. We had collected the light jet in Wichita, USA, two days previously. As always, I took the opportunity to tour the production facilities at Cessna/Textron Aviation’s main plant so that I could get a personal impression of how manufacturing is being continuously optimized. We then flew to E-Aviation’s home base via Montreal, Goose Bay and Reykjavik. This trip was already enough to convince us of the Cessna’s familiar qualities.
